Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer, Development Engineering to join our team at Clearway Energy, Inc. This role will be responsible for collaborating with project teams to develop, plan, schedule, and budget utility-scale wind projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and plan utility-scale wind projects
  • Develop and manage project schedules and budgets
  • Coordinate with EPC contractors and engineering consultants to ensure project deliverables
  • Develop strategic relationships with major EPCs and engineering consultants
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify project constraints and opportunities for optimization
  • Support Clearway's domestic content strategy for PTC and ITC-qualified projects
  • Collaborate on the development and submission of PPA proposals
  • Travel to projects under development and in construction (25%)
Requirements
  • Engineering or Construction Management Degree
  • 6+ years of engineering experience
  • 5+ years of experience in the Wind Industry
  • 2+ years of Project Management or Project Engineer experience designing and building utility-scale wind projects
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction and cost basis of utility-scale wind projects
  • Experience with multidisciplinary design, EPC negotiations, and managing engineering consultants
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience interfacing with Turbine suppliers during design and contract execution
