Key Responsibilities
A Senior Process Engineer will be responsible for:
1. Providing expertise in process development and engineering design for mining and mineral projects.
2. Utilizing advanced knowledge and specialized training to create systems and unit operations that meet contractual obligations and adhere to relevant codes and standards.
3. Collaborating with Discipline Leads, Project Managers, and Engineering Managers to ensure project requirements are met.
In this role, you will tackle complex challenges where thorough analysis of data and situations is essential. You will be expected to explore various solutions and apply sound judgment in selecting appropriate methods and techniques to achieve results that align with established policies.
Essential Functions
Please note that the following duties are not exhaustive but represent key responsibilities:
- Conducting intricate design, calculations, and evaluations related to oil and gas, distribution, and planning projects.
- Managing project administration tasks, including report writing, information gathering, proposal drafting, and tracking project costs.
- Determining effective data collection methods for projects and surveys.
- Identifying and analyzing hazardous materials and environmental concerns, assessing their impacts.
- Preparing visual data representations and reports for project managers.
- Upgrading and maintaining equipment and performance monitoring.
- Developing project scopes and budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
- Serving as a technical expert in advanced concepts and methods relevant to the field.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications vary by job level, including:
- Senior Process Engineer IV: Bachelor's Degree, PE license, and ten years of experience.
- Senior Process Engineer III: Bachelor's Degree, PE license, and twelve years of experience.
- Senior Process Engineer II: Bachelor's Degree, PE license, and fourteen years of experience.
- Senior Process Engineer I: Bachelor's Degree, PE license, and fifteen years of experience.
Skills Required
All levels require strong critical thinking and interpersonal communication skills.
