This role presents a remarkable opportunity for a driven and proficient transportation engineer eager to join our growing team. We are looking for individuals who thrive in a dynamic and collaborative setting to effectively execute a variety of transportation initiatives across the Rocky Mountain Region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design transportation infrastructures, including highways, interchanges, and both urban and rural roadways.
- Develop studies, reports, plans, and construction documentation for diverse transportation projects.
- Assist Project Managers in managing client relationships, stakeholder engagement, and coordination with subconsultants.
- Collaborate with a team of project managers, design engineers, technicians, and support personnel to ensure successful project completion.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians in various design-related tasks.
- Oversee projects from inception to completion.
- Lead design efforts for multidisciplinary projects.
- Conduct field observations as necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in designing transportation facilities.
- Proficient in MicroStation/OpenRoads or AutoCAD/Civil 3D, along with other relevant software used in transportation engineering.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with state DOT plan preparation procedures and standards.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-driven, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational capabilities.
- A commitment to personal and professional growth within a team-oriented environment to achieve our clients' project objectives.
- Experience in hydraulics and/or traffic engineering is advantageous.
- Possession of a Colorado Professional Engineer license or eligibility to transfer a license from another state.
