Job Overview

This role presents a remarkable opportunity for a driven and proficient transportation engineer eager to join our growing team. We are looking for individuals who thrive in a dynamic and collaborative setting to effectively execute a variety of transportation initiatives across the Rocky Mountain Region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design transportation infrastructures, including highways, interchanges, and both urban and rural roadways.
  • Develop studies, reports, plans, and construction documentation for diverse transportation projects.
  • Assist Project Managers in managing client relationships, stakeholder engagement, and coordination with subconsultants.
  • Collaborate with a team of project managers, design engineers, technicians, and support personnel to ensure successful project completion.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians in various design-related tasks.
  • Oversee projects from inception to completion.
  • Lead design efforts for multidisciplinary projects.
  • Conduct field observations as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in designing transportation facilities.
  • Proficient in MicroStation/OpenRoads or AutoCAD/Civil 3D, along with other relevant software used in transportation engineering.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with state DOT plan preparation procedures and standards.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational capabilities.
  • A commitment to personal and professional growth within a team-oriented environment to achieve our clients' project objectives.
  • Experience in hydraulics and/or traffic engineering is advantageous.
Licensure:

  • Possession of a Colorado Professional Engineer license or eligibility to transfer a license from another state.
