Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee potential bidding opportunities and manage estimating processes, including conducting site assessments and client evaluations to facilitate effective decision-making.
  • Review, modify, or prepare cost estimates, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and the company's financial objectives.
  • Coordinate and lead project planning sessions, execution strategies, and resource allocation to guarantee adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
  • Conduct site evaluations, including safety audits, client meetings, and process updates to align with customer budget expectations.
  • Provide ongoing updates and reports to clients to ensure all expectations and business objectives are met.
  • Supervise and mentor Assistant Project Managers, fostering their professional development and ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Develop and refine processes within the department to enhance operational efficiency and alignment with client and business objectives.
  • Continuously monitor project goals, timelines, and budgets to maintain project alignment.
  • Ensure proper documentation of project records, contracts, change orders, and samples for a comprehensive project history.
Candidate Profile:

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in substation construction, with a strong emphasis on estimating.
  • Proficient in research, analysis, planning, project management, and processes; exceptional organizational and time management skills; adept at multitasking with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong decision-making capabilities; ability to interpret technical drawings and perform construction take-offs; solid understanding of estimating, construction, design, finance, and project management.
  • Proficient in MS Office and construction management software; familiarity with Primavera is a plus, with training provided on current systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of presenting information effectively, mentoring team members, and collaborating with clients professionally.
  • Demonstrated customer focus and leadership abilities.
