Overview:

The Store Operations Strategy Manager is responsible for leading strategic operational planning, analytics, and reporting within the stores division. This position plays a crucial role in managing both annual and quarterly planning processes. The manager will utilize advanced financial modeling techniques to uncover and quantify potential opportunities for sales and operational income growth. This role also encompasses supporting decision-making through thorough data analysis, developing business cases, tracking experiments, and delivering return on investment assessments. Collaboration with various departments such as field operations, finance, asset protection, and supply chain is essential.

A Day in the Life:

+ Oversee annual and quarterly operational planning in conjunction with cross-functional teams.

+ Identify and evaluate investment opportunities, design and implement tests, and analyze returns to gauge performance.

+ Create financial models to assess initiatives, aiding in the prioritization of projects.

+ Assist in formulating business cases that promote data-driven decision-making for operational and capital investment programs.

+ Conduct in-depth projects to analyze performance, identify issues, and propose potential solutions.

+ Collaborate with store teams to discover avenues for enhancing sales and operational income through increased efficiencies.

+ Facilitate monthly and quarterly performance evaluations.

+ Provide strategic insights and analytical support for planning and operational needs.

Qualifications:

+ A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field is required (e.g., Economics, Finance, Business, Engineering, Mathematics).

+ An MBA is preferred.

+ 2-3 years of experience post-MBA or 5-8 years post-Bachelor’s degree.

+ Strong background in financial modeling, business case development, and structured problem-solving.

+ Experience in management consulting, private equity, investment banking, or similar environments.
