We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. As a key member of our Intelligent Combat Platforms Group, you will play a critical role in developing cutting-edge technologies that will shape the future of warfare.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop advanced autonomous systems and artificial intelligence algorithms
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and software developers to deliver powerful capabilities to the warfighter
  • Contribute to the development of machine learning models and their deployment in real-world scenarios
  • Work on collaborative teams in areas such as intelligent control and decision-making, human-machine collaboration, and networked and teamed systems
Requirements:
  • PhD in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)
  • Strong programming skills in C++ and/or Python, with knowledge of software design patterns
  • Ability to obtain an interim Secret security clearance by start date, and ultimately a Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, deep learning, and machine learning
  • Proficiency in additional programming languages, cloud computing, and configuration management
  • Completed certifications or internships in relevant fields
