We are seeking highly motivated and talented individuals to join our team of researchers at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science.
About the RoleWe are looking for individuals with a strong background in computer science, engineering, or mathematics who are passionate about research and development. As a research scientist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating AI and machine learning algorithms and models. You will also have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of researchers and engineers to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
Responsibilities- Design and implement AI and machine learning algorithms and models
- Develop and evaluate software applications using Python, PyTorch, and other relevant tools
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers to develop innovative solutions to complex problems
- Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and develop new ideas
- Communicate research findings and results to the team and stakeholders
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics
- Research experience in AI, ML, or data science
- Proficiency in Python programming with experience using PyTorch, Tensorflow, OpenCV, or spaCy
- Ability to acquire a DoD Interim Secret level security clearance by start date and ultimately acquire a Top Secret security clearance
