Role Summary

The Guest Services Associate is responsible for a range of administrative and operational tasks to support the needs of members at recreational facilities. This role is crucial in ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for all patrons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by providing accurate information in a friendly and approachable manner.
  • Monitor and assist members as they enter the facilities.
  • Handle incoming phone inquiries as necessary.
  • Manage equipment checkout processes, ensuring proper maintenance and accountability.
  • Support basic transactions for Member Services, including cash handling.
  • Conduct cleaning and disinfecting of cardio and weight equipment, documenting any issues.
  • Perform light janitorial and landscaping tasks as needed.
  • Set up rooms and organize programs (e.g., volleyball, basketball) as requested.
  • Assist management in training and onboarding new staff members.
  • Contribute to the organization's mission of enhancing property values and creating quality of life through recreation and community engagement.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned.

Work Environment

The majority of the work occurs indoors within a bustling facility, where noise and interruptions are common. Outdoor work may also be required in various weather conditions, including heat, wind, cold, rain, and snow. Candidates must be able to frequently sit, walk, stand, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and lift, push, or pull. Extended periods of standing or walking (up to 8 hours per shift) are necessary. Manual dexterity is required for typing, writing, and phone communication. Vision requirements include both near and far acuity. Candidates should be able to lift a maximum of 10 pounds unassisted and up to 50 pounds with assistance.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess the ability to understand and help enforce the guidelines of the Highlands Ranch Community Association, Inc. Exceptional customer service skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively with members and colleagues. Proficiency in checking equipment in and out, as well as assisting with facility operations and programs, is required. Candidates should demonstrate problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve minor conflicts among members. Basic computer and clerical skills are necessary. Candidates must be flexible to work across all facilities and shifts, including holidays.

Minimum age requirement is 16 years. A successful completion of a drug and background check is mandatory.

Experience
