Position: Ice Skating Coach
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals for the role of Ice Skating Coach. The primary responsibilities include instructing participants in the basics of ice skating, catering to various age groups and skill levels, both in group settings and through individual lessons. All instruction must adhere to the standards established by the governing body of figure skating. This position also involves communicating and enforcing safety protocols, rules, and regulations. Additionally, the coach will maintain accurate records, assist in event coordination, and keep the Figure Skating Director and guardians updated on activities and any issues that arise.

Must be available on Tuesday and Thursday evenings
Qualifications
Ice Skating Coach I - Starting Rate $16.75
- Minimum one year of coaching experience.
- At least three years of skating experience.
- Completion of the Preliminary Freestyle test, Preliminary Moves in the Field Test, or Bronze Ice Dance test as recognized by the governing body.
- Minimum three years of coaching experience in both group and private lessons.
- At least five years of skating experience.
- Completion of the Juvenile Freestyle test, Intermediate Moves in the Field Test, or Pre Silver Ice Dance Test.
- Minimum five years of coaching experience in both group and private lessons.
- Must maintain an active professional rating.
- Must fulfill at least three of the following criteria:
- Eight years of skating experience.
- Completion of the Gold Medal in Freestyle, Moves in the Field Test, Ice Dance Test, or Pairs Test.
- Completion of the Professional Skaters Association Basic Accreditation Exam.
- Holding a minimum of a Professional Skaters Association Registered Rating in a specialized discipline.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Prior experience in figure skating coaching.
- Familiarity with the Basic Skills program format.
- Concussion recognition training (required prior to employment and must be renewed annually).
- CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications (preferred, required within 60 days of hire).
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
