Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Import Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the maritime import processes for our clients. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the local import procedures in the United States, ensuring that all operations are executed smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Expertly navigate the local maritime import operations, including various processes such as DAP, DDU, and DDP, while independently managing import documentation, customs clearance, delivery logistics, and cost verification.
  2. Leverage established relationships with local customs clearance agencies to provide effective customs services tailored to client needs.
  3. Possess a thorough understanding of the import/export protocols, policies, and regulations of shipping companies, customs, trucking firms, and receiving warehouses to ensure timely door delivery and container returns.
  4. Utilize extensive experience in local delivery services to facilitate seamless communication among shipping companies, agents, customs, trucking firms, and warehouses, ensuring punctual service delivery.
  5. Demonstrate proficiency in operational systems for accurate data entry, cost tracking, and timely bill generation.
  6. Engage proactively with clients to address inquiries related to import operations, providing exceptional customer service.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience in import operations with a solid grasp of U.S. import/export regulations and operational skills.
  2. Strong communication abilities, teamwork orientation, a sense of responsibility, and initiative.
  3. Fluency in Chinese is preferred.
