Culinary Support Specialist
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to enhance our culinary operations.
Your role will involve ensuring a hygienic and organized kitchen atmosphere within the hospital cafeteria. You will be responsible for sanitizing all kitchenware and equipment promptly, as well as assisting with the organization and stocking of food supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen, dining area, and storage spaces.
- Receive deliveries, ensuring products are labeled, dated, and stored appropriately.
- Regularly check and replenish towels and soap dispensers during your shift.
- Efficiently clean and return kitchen tools and serving items.
- Set up and oversee a 3-compartment sink and dishwashing machine.
- Perform cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and spot cleaning high-traffic zones.
- Monitor and empty waste receptacles as needed.
- Follow all health and safety protocols established by the facility.
- Assist colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth departmental operations.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Effective communication skills in English and ability to work collaboratively.
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and present a neat appearance in uniform.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, with frequent bending, stooping, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Must be capable of operating necessary kitchen equipment.
- Preferred experience in culinary roles (e.g., cooking, commercial kitchens, fast food, hotel operations, healthcare, dishwashing, housekeeping, janitorial work).
