Position Summary:
The Front Desk Associate is responsible for delivering outstanding patient service, both in person and via telephone. This role involves interviewing patients and their representatives to gather complete and accurate demographic, financial, and insurance details necessary for billing and account management. The Front Desk Associate performs various clerical and patient service tasks essential for maintaining a smooth operational flow within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit a high level of professionalism while providing excellent customer service.
  • Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information for accuracy.
  • Confirm insurance details and process copays, co-insurance, and outstanding balances.
  • Ensure all patient intake forms are completed and signed.
  • Manage patient communication channels, including multiple phone lines and messaging systems.
  • Schedule patient appointments efficiently.
  • Process medical record requests in accordance with established policies.
  • Collaborate with surgical staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Certificate.

Required Skills:

  • Bilingual in Spanish is essential.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience with healthcare insurance.
  • Proficient computer skills with a typing speed of at least 30 WPM.
  • A strong commitment to assisting others and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Highly dependable and organized.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A polished and professional appearance.
  • The ability to learn quickly, retain training, and solve problems independently.

Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with medical terminology.
