We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Follow on Development (FOD) Program Manager. This role is critical in providing program management support throughout the complete acquisition lifecycle of the F-35 program, encompassing development, production, and sustainment phases.


The FOD Program Manager will collaborate with the F-35 Joint Program Office Air Vehicle Program Management Office to ensure effective lifecycle cost management, scheduling, and performance evaluation of aircraft, avionics, sensors, weapons integration, and modifications within the F-35 Lightning II Enterprise.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the AV PMO in overseeing development, production, modifications, retrofitting, and sustainment of the Air Vehicle.
  • Assist in managing the requirements, development, testing, qualification, and sustainment of Below-the-Neck F-35 Pilot Flight Equipment (PFE).
  • Facilitate the development, procurement, and sustainment of the F-35 Helmet Mounted Display System (HMDS).
  • Contribute to the F-35 Block 4 Modernization efforts to ensure airborne systems are capable of operating effectively in contested environments.
  • Provide manpower and material support to the Integrated Test Force (ITFs) for F-35 Development, Sustainment, and Production initiatives.
  • Support life-limiting modifications and Flight Test Instrumentation (FTI) sustainment for the Developmental Test fleet aircraft.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or a related field, with a minimum of 6 years of experience in program management or technical/business analysis, including at least 4 years in analysis and planning, and 2 years in technical support for major weapon systems.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting a Major Defense Acquisition Program, with demonstrated knowledge of program/project status and schedules.
  • Familiarity with Service and OSD policy and documentation related to PPBS and lifecycle management of military acquisition programs.
  • Experience in processing program acquisition, funding, and contract documentation for military aircraft programs.
  • Proficient in utilizing DoD reporting tools and generating major reports.
