Role Summary:

ACT1 Federal is in search of a Systems Engineer to contribute to the transformation of F-35 maintenance systems, aimed at enhancing the combat capabilities of the F-35. In this role, you will assist the F-35 Joint Program Office in achieving its objectives related to the development, testing, production, deployment, and maintenance of advanced fifth-generation fighter capabilities for the U.S. military and allied forces globally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and revisions of Capabilities Needs Statements (CNS), which includes assessing current capabilities with military branches and partner nations, identifying capability deficiencies, addressing feedback, and coordinating updates for CNS approval.
  • Support the F-35 JPO's Maintenance Systems Program Management Office by effectively utilizing Model-Based Systems Engineering and Digital Engineering methodologies. This includes training personnel in MBSE tools, reviewing architectural frameworks, and enhancing Configuration Management practices.
  • Formulate a Requirements Management Plan to oversee F-35 Maintenance Systems requirements, leveraging the adaptive acquisition framework to develop the Operational Data Integrated Network (ODIN), which is set to replace the legacy Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS).
  • Organize and facilitate Quarterly Stakeholder Workshops to engage with U.S. Services and partner nations, discussing new capabilities and prioritizing requirements for the transition from ALIS to ODIN.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Systems Engineering, with a focus on the design, integration, and management of complex systems throughout their lifecycle.
  • Proficient in preparing, reviewing, and analyzing engineering documentation, including reports, test plans, and specifications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
    • System architecture design and evaluation
    • Systems and software requirement analysis and allocation
    • Integration of hardware and software at system and subsystem levels
    • Computer systems architecture
    • Testing and evaluation of systems and subsystems
  • Possession of a SECRET Clearance with eligibility for Special Access Required (SAR).
