Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at Trinity Health Livonia Hospital. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, including vital sign monitoring, wound care, and assistance with daily living activities.
- Assist with preparing patients for exams and procedures, and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment and surfaces.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in patient care and support.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
