We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at Trinity Health Livonia Hospital. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, including vital sign monitoring, wound care, and assistance with daily living activities.
- Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as with feeding and menu selection.
- Collect and send specimens, including blood and blood cultures, and perform point-of-care testing such as blood glucose monitoring.
- Document patient information and required data in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist with preparing the body following death and provide care and support to patients and their families during this difficult time.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
