We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at DaVita Inc. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the complete ongoing care of each patient, working in conjunction with dialysis RNs to provide safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct one-on-one patient care to ensure the highest level of comfort and safety during dialysis treatment.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, including measuring and recording vital signs and patient observations.
- Set up and operate hemodialysis machines, ensuring accurate and efficient treatment.
- Collaborate with dialysis RNs to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) certification required.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook required.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
