Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Systems Specialist to join our team at Securitas Electronic Security Inc. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Alarm Installation and Testing: Assist field technicians with the installation of alarm equipment, including programming multiple types of alarm panels.
  • System Testing and Verification: Perform system tests with technicians and customers to ensure proper operation of alarm equipment.
  • Alarm Program Configuration: Verify alarm program information to ensure proper responses, essential alarm functions, and correct customer options.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to field technicians and customers, including troubleshooting programming problems and interpreting incoming data.
  • Customer Communication: Answer incoming calls from customers to activate pending installation accounts and verify procedures and dispatch instructions.
  • Cellular Account Management: Process and maintain cellular account information by placing service calls to technicians to check the cell backup unit for excessive airtime.
  • Pending Installation Follow-up: Follow up on pending installation accounts over one year old by verifying with sales representatives, customers, field technicians, and managers.
  • Remote Programming: Process remote programming change requests by downloading to alarm panels, including pin number changes and user updates.
  • Alarm Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot alarm program problems, including test timer reporting, open and close reports, and all zone reporting functions.
  • Customer Support: Assist customers with arming, disarming, and pin number changes over the phone.
  • Confidential Customer Paperwork: Handle confidential customer paperwork and emails.
  • Database Management: Perform all database functions after hours, as it becomes necessary.
  • Additional Projects: Take care of additional projects and functions, as they arise, in EMC.
  • System Monitoring: Monitor multiple internal electronic systems for proper operation to assure customers of continuous response to alarm activity.
  • UL and ULC Requirements: Monitor and protect the integrity of UL and ULC requirements for security facilities.
  • Customer Correspondence: Process customer correspondences, account files, and authorized personnel records for each monitored location.
  • Alarm Activity Documentation: File paper records of alarm activity, electronically, and customer change requests forms as required for proper documentation for UL and ULC certificates.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in associate team meetings, providing feedback to the appropriate management staff.
  • Professional Attitude: Portray a positive, professional attitude at all times, providing positive encouragement to all associates resulting in teamwork.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required, Associate's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of work experience.
  • Skills: Skilled in process documentation, project tracking, and prioritization.
  • Software Knowledge: Knowledge of MAS, MASVideo, Bosch RPS, Honeywell COMPASS, DMP Remotelink, Pacom GMS, GE Enterprise, GE DL900, DSL, LFAS, NAPCO.
  • Customer Communication: Exceptional customer communication skills.
