As a Corporate Partnerships Coordinator, you will be pivotal in meeting KSPS PBS's fundraising objectives. Your role will involve engaging with corporate sponsors and prospects, crafting effective fundraising strategies, and collaborating with various departments, board members, and senior leadership.

Position Summary

** Please Note: This position requires in-office work.

The KSPS PBS team is seeking a dedicated, innovative, and proactive Corporate Partnerships Coordinator to lead and contribute to essential fundraising initiatives. This role entails identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and nurturing corporate sponsors to support the organization's mission. The ideal candidate will devise and execute solicitation strategies for each corporate entity, prepare detailed proposals and informational materials, and maintain a comprehensive understanding of corporate philanthropy practices. As part of the growing development team, you will report to the Director of Development and work closely with a Corporate Underwriting Officer to achieve the organization's fundraising goals while contributing to overall strategic planning and development.

Compensation: $31.25/hr based on experience

Key Responsibilities

1. Corporate Donor Engagement:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with a portfolio of current and prospective corporate sponsors.
  • Create tailored strategies for business leaders interested in supporting KSPS PBS's initiatives.
  • Coordinate solicitation meetings and visits with the Development Director and other staff or board members as necessary.
  • Accurately document and track all donor interactions and future engagement plans.
  • Conduct regular appreciation communications with corporate sponsors.
  • Draft and send timely thank-you letters.
  • Collaborate with the Production department to manage underwriting message content and approvals.
  • Oversee all aspects of corporate underwriting agreements, including proposal writing, contract management, tracking deliverables, invoicing, and payment collection.
  • Work collaboratively with Production, Marketing, and Education departments to meet organizational goals and ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled.
  • Assist in hosting donor events, collaborating with development, production, and education teams, managing various events throughout the year, including collateral design, sponsor outreach, volunteer coordination, and event-day support.
  • Represent the organization at community events and networking opportunities to engage with current and potential donors.

2. Fundraising Strategy and Communication:

  • Develop and implement a stewardship plan for corporate sponsors to enhance engagement through regular interactions and expressions of gratitude.
  • Create content and design for regular newsletters to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
  • Manage appeal communications, including writing compelling content for large-scale mailings and emails.
  • Generate personalized acknowledgment letters for corporate contributions.
  • Prepare corporate sponsorship proposals and follow-up reports.
  • Identify and engage with potential sponsors to expand the corporate support base.
  • Monitor contributed income and cash flow on a monthly basis for corporate sponsors.

3. Board and Committee Support:

  • Provide administrative and strategic assistance to the Development Committee, serving as a liaison to board members and major donors.
  • Collaborate with board volunteers and senior staff to enhance corporate fundraising efforts.
  • Participate in bi-monthly board meetings.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, or sales; equivalent education/experience will be considered.
  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit administration, marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of nonprofit marketing, development, and project management principles.
  • Ability to effectively communicate the value of investing in public media to potential corporate sponsors.
  • Passion for public media and a strong interest in the nonprofit sector.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on relationship-building.
  • Proficiency in donor databases, spreadsheets, and word processing software.
  • Experience working with diverse communities.
  • Self-motivated with excellent project management skills to deliver high-quality results under pressure.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance are required.

Flexibility: Availability for occasional evening and weekend events and travel may be required.

Benefits

Compensation: $31.25/hr based on experience

  • Full-time, non-exempt position
  • Regular schedule (M-F, 8 am - 5 pm) with the possibility of remote work up to 2 days per week
