As a pivotal member of Community-Minded Enterprises, the Family Access Coordinator will play a crucial role in enhancing access to PreK programs. This position involves collaborating with regional teams to devise and execute a comprehensive enrollment strategy aimed at empowering families to make informed decisions regarding inclusive PreK options that align with their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with regional Family Access Coordinators and the central office to establish a unified recruitment and enrollment framework.
- Foster strong partnerships with community organizations and families to develop a system that addresses the specific needs of the community.
- Advise on the organizational structure of the system, determining central and local roles.
- Clarify the responsibilities of essential partners, including Licensed Child Care, Educational Service Districts, and Community-Based Organizations, to ensure an inclusive approach.
- Create a detailed implementation plan outlining roles and responsibilities for the initial three years of development.
- Establish a clear communication strategy to keep communities and partners informed about progress and updates.
Essential Duties:
- Engage regularly with regional coordinators and state partners to ensure equitable delivery of high-quality services tailored to local needs.
- Build relationships with Educational Service Districts and school principals to gain insights into Transition to Kindergarten opportunities for families.
- Collaborate with specialists to keep regional resources updated and identify community needs.
- Stay informed about best practices and research that can enhance family service delivery and data practices.
- Represent the organization in various meetings at local, regional, and state levels.
- Utilize data and family feedback to create impactful reports and narratives about the organization's initiatives.
- Present program updates and initiatives to stakeholders as required.
- Oversee contract compliance, data reporting, and quality assurance to meet program objectives.
- Perform additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in early childhood education, public administration, or a related field, along with 3-5 years of relevant experience. A Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience are preferred.
- Experience in providing effective support to families in collaboration with community partners.
- Familiarity with outcome-based services and data-driven decision-making.
Certificates and Licenses:
- Valid Washington State Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle with insurance.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in using resource databases and navigating complex systems to assist families.
- Ability to learn and utilize current platforms and applications relevant to family engagement.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office and database management, with a willingness to learn new technologies.
Communication Skills:
- Exceptional group facilitation abilities, both in-person and online.
- Proven track record of building collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to engage effectively with individuals from various backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fluency in multiple languages.
- Experience in non-profit sectors focused on early learning and child care.
- Strong communication skills with families and caregivers of young children.
- Understanding of early childhood education and related issues affecting children and families.
