Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Technical Customer Service Specialist to join our team at Azek Co. This role will provide product application information and direct support to the end user community, including installation techniques, customer training, and claims/warranty investigation and resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creates and leads product knowledge trainings, including AZEK University, on-site installation/product trainings, and field trainings to Dealer, Distribution, and Installing contractors.
  • Works closely with dealers, distributors, and AZEK sales/customer service to prevent and/or solve product-related field claims, concerns, or issues.
  • Conducts job site visits to resolve property owner complaints/concerns.
  • Provides technical customer service, troubleshooting, and general phone support to end users to resolve customer issues.
  • Creates, develops, and conducts application and installation and general product training to meet the needs of the end user community and internal customers.
  • Attends trade shows to provide support for sales and product knowledge.
  • Provides direct support on customer sales calls as necessary.
  • Conducts and/or organizes appropriate field testing to validate new and existing products regarding workability, weatherability, competitiveness, ease of installation, heat and chemical resistance, etc.
  • Assists in the development and support of an effective claims management process.

Requirements

  • Associate degree (two-year college or technical school) preferred.
  • 2-5+ years of experience in the Building Materials Industry (Retail Lumberyard or Distribution).
  • General Construction Knowledge. Experience with Deck and Rail installation a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical abilities required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate upwardly to top management and downward to a wide range of large and small audiences.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
