About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong leader to manage the day-to-day operations of a retail store. As a Department Manager at H&M Group, you will be responsible for driving sales and profit growth, while ensuring excellent customer service and a positive store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Profit Management
    • Analyze and follow up on sales and profit KPIs for the department with the visual merchandising team.
    • Secure that actions are taken to maximize selling and support the visual merchandising team with these actions.
  • Store Operations
    • Work with the store management team to secure store operations, H&M standards, and best practices are followed through proper scheduling.
    • Ensure that store routines and tasks are executed, including but not limited to, the delivery truck, garment processing, reductions, department moves, and price changes.
  • People and Teams
    • Manage the recruitment, training, development, and succession planning team in line with H&M best practices.
    • Evaluate and manage the performance of the department team members, giving regular feedback, executing dialogues, development plans, and follow-ups.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that H&M customer service standards are always delivered through active coaching and leading by example.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Give input to the store manager and area teams on allocation and replenishment to secure garment levels according to sales trends.
    • Inform the store manager of any potential risks, threats, and opportunities related to the competitor landscape.

    • Ability to lead and manage a team of sales advisors and department supervisors.
