Job Summary:

Festival Foods is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Meat Clerk to join our team. As a Meat Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining stock levels, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring high-quality products are available to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Assist guests with finding items, receive and fulfill guest orders, and provide excellent service by professionally answering department telephone or in on the sales floor.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain proper inventory levels in the Meat Department, including containers, wraps, and tags.
  • Quality Control: Ensure high-standard quality control by inspecting, rotating, and maintaining proper temperatures for all meat products on display.
  • Teamwork: Support teammates and positively contribute to the culture of the Meat Department.
  • Problem-Solving: Address guest concerns and resolve issues by practicing the boomerang principle.
  • Adaptability: Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
Requirements:
  • Communication Skills: Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with customers and all personnel.
  • Teamwork: Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to handle a diverse crew in a highly stressful environment.
  • Safety Knowledge: Complete understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policies.
  • Physical Demands: Stand in one place for a long period of time, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly; full range of upper body motion; lifting up to 80 pounds on an occasional basis.
