POSITION SUMMARY:
The Beverage Server at Octavia is responsible for delivering prompt, friendly, and professional beverage service to guests, ensuring an exceptional experience at all times.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver beverage service to guests in designated gaming areas.
  • Provide timely and courteous beverage refreshment service.
  • Accurately relay drink orders to the bartender and manage the check process.
  • Serve drinks to guests, present checks, process payments, and maintain a tidy service area.
  • Ensure accountability for complimentary charges and cash transactions.
  • Enhance guest experiences through friendly interactions.
  • Stay informed about promotional beverages, events, and services.
  • Exemplify professionalism and encourage colleagues to uphold the same standards.
  • Adhere to attendance guidelines and comply with all relevant policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED required; must be at least 21 years old.
  • Previous experience in beverage service is preferred.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles is advantageous.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions and knowledge of guest charge procedures.
  • Physical capability to carry and serve trays weighing up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills for handling payments.
  • Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Well-groomed appearance and ability to work well with others.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to navigate all areas of the casino.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 15 pounds.
  • Capability to reach above and below shoulder height.
  • Ability to move quickly and efficiently throughout the assigned areas.
  • Dexterity to handle necessary items such as glasses and money.
  • Ability to tolerate environments with secondary smoke.
  • Capacity to work in high-pressure situations and respond to visual and auditory cues.
