POSITION SUMMARY:
The Beverage Server at Octavia is responsible for delivering prompt, friendly, and professional beverage service to guests, ensuring a memorable experience during their visit.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver beverage service to guests in designated gaming areas.
  • Provide timely and courteous beverage refreshment service.
  • Accurately relay drink orders to the bartender and manage check processing.
  • Serve drinks to guests, present checks, process payments, and provide change as needed while maintaining a clean service area.
  • Account for all complimentary charges and cash transactions.
  • Ensure a positive guest experience through friendly interactions.
  • Stay informed about current promotional beverages, events, and services.
  • Exemplify professionalism and encourage colleagues to uphold the same standards.
  • Adhere to attendance guidelines and comply with company policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED required; must be at least 21 years old.
  • Previous experience in beverage service preferred.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles is advantageous.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions and knowledge of guest charge procedures.
  • Physical capability to carry and serve trays weighing up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and manage stress during busy periods.
  • Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction.
  • Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with coworkers and maintain a professional appearance.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to navigate all areas of the casino.
  • Must frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 15 pounds.
  • Capability to reach above and below shoulder height.
  • Must be able to move quickly and efficiently throughout the assigned areas during shifts.
  • Dexterity to handle necessary items (glasses, pens, pads, garnishments, money, etc.).
  • Ability to stoop, bend, and twist while serving beverages.
  • Must be able to garnish drinks properly and tolerate environments with secondary smoke.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and high-pressure situations.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, and respond to visual and auditory cues.
