POSITION SUMMARY:
The Beverage Server at Octavia is responsible for delivering prompt, friendly, and professional beverage service to guests in the casino. This role involves taking and serving drink orders efficiently while ensuring a pleasant experience for all patrons.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver beverage service to guests in designated gaming areas.
  • Provide timely and courteous refreshment service.
  • Accurately relay drink orders to the bartender and manage the check process.
  • Present drinks and checks to guests, handle payments, and maintain a tidy service area.
  • Ensure accountability for complimentary charges and cash transactions.
  • Foster a welcoming atmosphere through positive guest interactions.
  • Stay informed about current promotional beverages and events.
  • Exemplify professionalism and encourage colleagues to do the same.
  • Adhere to attendance and compliance standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED required; must be at least 21 years old.
  • Previous experience in beverage service preferred.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles is advantageous.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions and knowledge of drink ingredients.
  • Physical capability to carry and serve trays weighing up to 15 pounds.
  • Team-oriented mindset and ability to perform under pressure.
  • Basic math skills for handling payments.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and ability to work collaboratively.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to navigate all areas of the casino.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 15 pounds regularly.
  • Frequent reaching and maneuvering required.
  • Capability to move quickly throughout the venue during shifts.
  • Dexterity to handle various items (glasses, pens, etc.) and perform tasks like garnishing drinks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to visual and auditory cues.
