POSITION SUMMARY: The Beverage Server at Octavia is responsible for delivering prompt, friendly, and professional service to all guests while taking and serving drink orders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver beverage service to guests in designated gaming areas.
  • Ensure timely and courteous beverage refreshment service.
  • Accurately relay drink orders to the bartender and manage checks effectively.
  • Present drinks and checks to guests, process payments, and provide change as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized service station at all times.
  • Account for all complimentary charges and cash transactions where applicable.
  • Provide an exceptional experience for every guest through friendly interactions.
  • Stay informed about changing promotional beverages, events, and services.
  • Exemplify professionalism and encourage colleagues to uphold high standards.
  • Adhere to attendance guidelines and comply with regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED required; must be at least 21 years old.
  • Previous experience in beverage service preferred.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles is advantageous.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions and knowledge of guest charge procedures.
  • Capability to carry and serve a tray of beverages weighing up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic mathematical skills for handling payments.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and work well with colleagues.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to navigate all areas of the casino.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds regularly.
  • Frequent reaching above and below shoulder level.
  • Must be able to move quickly and efficiently throughout the assigned areas.
  • Dexterity to handle necessary items (glasses, pens, pads, garnishments, money, etc.).
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and twist while serving drinks.
  • Must be able to tolerate environments with secondary smoke.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations and respond to visual and auditory cues.
