Position Overview:

The Real Estate Operations Manager is accountable for the comprehensive management of the property. This role encompasses ensuring effective operations, supervising supplier agreements, maintenance oversight, lease management, and monthly reporting. Additionally, this position fosters a positive experience for residents, associates, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily property operations, focusing on resident satisfaction and retention, lease management, rent collection, property P&L, and marketing in alignment with company standards.
  • Meet client expectations and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Manage recruitment, interviewing, performance feedback, and hiring processes.
  • Foster a motivating environment by leading and communicating a shared vision with associates, providing coaching and development.
  • Implement the strategic marketing plan to attract and retain residents.
  • Understand and adhere to operational guidelines established within the property management agreement.
  • Address resident complaints and serve as a liaison between residents and the corporate office regarding common area maintenance and enforcement of regulations.
  • Enhance professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops and networking.
  • Organize and execute site disaster preparedness and emergency evacuation plans.
  • Manage property and associate safety records, property loss claims, and risk management initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two to three years of experience in property management required.
  • One to two years of direct management experience required.
  • Knowledge of resident rental lifecycle activities required.
  • Real estate license preferred or may be required in some locations.
  • Prior experience with property management software preferred.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with all management levels.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.

  • Ability to articulate technical concerns clearly and accurately.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and conversing in English.
