Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Paralegal to join our team at Lennar. As a key member of our commercial real estate department, you will be responsible for reviewing title commitments and underlying documents, preparing title summaries, and conferring with title agents and underwriters to limit title requirements and exceptions. Your attention to detail and excellent communication skills will be essential in ensuring the smooth processing of commercial real estate transactions.

Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze title commitments and underlying documents to identify potential issues and exceptions.
  • Prepare detailed title summaries and reports to facilitate communication with title agents, underwriters, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with title agents and underwriters to resolve title issues and exceptions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of draft legal documents, including purchase and sale agreements, closing documents, and title objection letters.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of contract critical dates and transaction progress.

Requirements
  • Paralegal certification required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a real estate paralegal position within a law firm, corporate in-house, or title insurance company.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.

Working Conditions
  • Daily interaction with regional real estate attorneys, division personnel, title companies, surveyors, and outside attorneys.
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and perform physical tasks, such as bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, walking, moving, and carrying equipment in excess of 20 pounds.

Compensation
  • Median base compensation for this position is estimated to be $37.25 per hour, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors.
  • Performance-based bonuses may be eligible.
