Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Observation Tech to join our team at the Medical Center. As a Patient Observation Tech, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients. This is a PRN opportunity, requiring a flexible schedule and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide continuous, electronic observation and surveillance of assigned patients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Redirect patients from engaging in at-risk behaviors and summon nursing staff when necessary.
  • Report observations and patient problems to licensed nurses, promoting effective patient care.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in performance improvement projects and shared governance activities to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • Six months of direct patient care experience or enrollment in a school of nursing program with a completed first clinical rotation.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA) certification.
