Job Summary and Qualifications

We are looking for a PRN Cardiac Catheterization Radiology Technician to join our facility and ensure that we maintain high standards of quality and efficient care for our patients. Our collaborative team is eager to welcome a dedicated individual who shares our commitment to meaningful patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the nursing staff in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients in the Cath Lab.
  • Function effectively in a call-out situation by scrubbing and operating the x-ray table.
  • Manage the archiving and storage of digital imaging data while ensuring proper operation of image review stations.
  • Perform post-processing of digital data to provide additional clinical information to physicians.
  • Be prepared to act in emergency situations, including Code Blue scenarios.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant field.
  • Prior experience in a Cath Lab setting is preferred.
  • Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
  • ARRT certification and Radiology Technologist certification through the Texas Department of Health or RCIS certification are mandatory.
  • Current BCLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
  • ACLS certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
