Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist PRN to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality Computerized Tomography (CT) exams, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT exams at a technical level, requiring minimal supervision, and ensure the highest degree of quality performance and patient care.
  • Position patients for each anatomical view using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary, and explain CT procedures to patients.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of materials is available, clean, sterilize, and disinfect areas and/or equipment as needed.
  • Responsible for proper use of the Radiology Information System and actively participate in the Total Quality Management (TQM) process.
  • Maintain necessary continuing education requirements for licensure and perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited Radiography program or equivalent.
  • MRT in the State of Texas, ARRT, and BLS required.
  • 1 year of Radiologic Technologist experience, including 3 months of CT experience, preferred.
  • Self-directed, responsible, flexible, organized, positive, and knowledgeable about film processing and preparation.
