Job Summary

The Director of People and Culture will lead the Human Resources department, overseeing hiring, employee relations, and company policies. This role requires strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage priorities and workflow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization's business objectives
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues
  • Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy
  • Direct the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits, researching and proposing competitive base and incentive pay programs
  • Create learning and development programs and initiatives to provide internal development opportunities for employees
  • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Partner with leadership to ensure company-wide human resources policies, procedures, and practices are in accordance with stated corporate objectives and federal and state legal requirements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of five years of human resource management experience
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired
  • Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations
  • Basic competence in duties and tasks of supervised employees
  • Experience in recruiting and staffing
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
