Overview

The Practice Manager is tasked with overseeing the administrative, financial, and operational functions of a healthcare facility. This role is crucial in ensuring a seamless patient experience from the moment they enter until their departure.

Key Responsibilities

Site Administration


• Manage scheduling, operational coverage, and payroll submissions for all site personnel.


• Maintain awareness of patient visits, registration delays, and necessary follow-up actions post-discharge.


• Supervise patient flow and closely monitor daily front and back-office operations.


• Collaborate with Human Resources to develop staff training plans and address employee relations matters.


• Responsible for opening and closing the facility.


• Assist with clinical duties as required, including processing lab results and patient rooming.

Team Leadership


• Guide, mentor, and assess the performance of all non-provider staff in alignment with established performance standards.


• Ensure adherence to the organizational culture through monitoring and corrective actions.


• Conduct formal performance evaluations for all non-provider personnel.


• Facilitate departmental meetings and training sessions on-site.

Business and Patient Relations


• Engage with patients to address any concerns regarding their visit.


• Uphold patient confidentiality in compliance with relevant policies and HIPAA regulations.


• Oversee the site budget, ensuring expenditures align with financial guidelines.


• Conduct daily inspections of the facility for cleanliness and necessary repairs.


• Partner with corporate departments for operational support and issue escalation.


• Analyze and report on key business metrics, including wait times and patient satisfaction scores.

Qualifications


• Minimum of 2 years in a management role is essential.


• A Bachelor's degree in management, business, or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.


• Strong multitasking abilities.


• Proficient in computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office.


• Excellent communication skills.


• Comfortable with constructive feedback and conflict resolution.


• Bilingual skills are preferred based on location.

Additional Information

This position may require extended shifts, including weekends and varying schedules. On-site presence is mandatory.

Physical Requirements

The role may involve lifting heavy items regularly, performing repetitive tasks with limited breaks, and light cleaning duties. Frequent computer use is required.

Direct Reports

The Practice Manager will oversee X-Ray Technologists, Medical Assistants, Shift Supervisors, Scribes, and Assistant Managers.
