Sage Parts is a leading provider of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and airport-related equipment replacement parts. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to lead our team at JFK Airport.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the overall planning, organizing, and operations of the location. This includes overseeing all operations functions, such as safety, order processing, picking, packaging, shipping, returns, and receiving.

The Site Manager will also be responsible for monitoring the flow of work throughout the warehouse, investigating unusual delays, and/or problem areas, and taking appropriate action to resolve them.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as productivity and delivery goals for the location will be achieved by the Site Manager. They will utilize software, data, and analytics to optimize operations, track productivity metrics, anticipate, and resolve problems.

The Site Manager will assure communication between departments, distribution centers, and customers. They will participate in and conduct various meetings to coordinate warehouse activities, control processes, and address problem areas.

The Site Manager will ensure all operating objectives, goals, and performance standards are communicated throughout the Operation. They will hold all staff within the Operation accountable for meeting and/or exceeding these specific goals.

The Operation expenses will be managed by the Site Manager to remain within the assigned budget. They will develop continuous improvement initiatives and share best practices with team members. The Site Manager will ensure regulatory compliance with company policy and procedures and meet OSHA standards.

The Site Manager will assure appropriate work schedules and staffing levels while reducing the incremental cost of utilizing overtime labor. They will assure the availability of appropriate supervisory and employee training programs for both new and existing employees.

The Site Manager will motivate and build teamwork, influence team members with an emphasis on driving results through accuracy and timeliness. They will regularly look for common ground that inspires collaborations among team members.

The Site Manager will communicate and promote company expectations and culture through actions, verbal instructions, and in writing to new and existing team members.

The Site Manager will oversee and implement basic human resource functions within areas of responsibility. They will interview qualified candidates and maintain staffing levels, hire and train new team members, and prepare performance appraisals to develop and improve overall performance of team members.

The Site Manager will ensure that good housekeeping and safe operating procedures and practices are followed throughout the facility.

**Requirements / Requested Qualifications**

  • Bachelor's degree; or equivalent experience in management required
  • Three to five (3-5) years' management experience in the areas of warehousing, freight, and logistics (domestic and international) is required; experience within a multi-unit environment a plus
  • Automotive/parts experience
  • Solid leadership ability with the capacity to problem solve through unexpected situations, goal, and solution orientated; Must be able to motivate and influence others
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, with the ability to engage, drive, and motivate others
  • Knowledge of Epicor P21 (Enterprise Resource Planning System)
  • Ability to use forklift
  • Must fluently communicate and write in English. Any additional languages are beneficial and would be considered an advantage
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and implementation skills
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft office application
  • Knowledge and/or experience within the global industrial and automotive parts marketplace would also be considered an advantage
