Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Sage Parts is the world's leading supplier of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and airport-related equipment replacement parts. We operate in multiple countries, including the United States, Canada, Chile, France, Hong Kong, Singapore, Peru, South Africa, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Manager to lead our team at John F. Kennedy International Airport. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, including managing inventory, coordinating logistics, and supervising a team of warehouse staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the overall planning, organizing, and operation of the warehouse
  • Oversee all operations functions, including safety, order processing, picking, packaging, shipping, returns, and receiving
  • Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as productivity and delivery goals for the location
  • Utilize software, data, and analytics to optimize operations, track productivity metrics, anticipate, and resolve problems
  • Assure communication between departments, distribution centers, and customers
  • Plan, objectives, and goals: ensure all operating objectives, goals, and performance standards are communicated throughout the operation
  • Manage operation expenses to remain within the assigned budget
  • Develop continuous improvement initiatives and share best practices with team members
  • Work schedules: assure appropriate work schedules and staffing levels while reducing the incremental cost of utilizing overtime labor
  • Training programs: assure the availability of appropriate supervisory and employee training programs for both new and existing employees
  • Motivate and build teamwork, influence team members with an emphasis on driving results through accuracy and timeliness
  • Communicate and promote company expectations and culture through actions, verbal instructions, and in writing to new and existing team members
  • Oversee and implement basic human resource functions within areas of responsibility
  • Safety and housekeeping: ensure that good housekeeping and safe operating procedures and practices are followed throughout the facility
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in management required
  • Three to five (3-5) years' management experience in the areas of warehousing, freight, and logistics (domestic and international) is required; experience within a multi-unit environment a plus
  • Automotive/parts experience
  • Solid leadership ability with the capacity to problem-solve through unexpected situations, goal, and solution-oriented; must be able to motivate and influence others
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, with the ability to engage, drive, and motivate others
  • Knowledge of Epicor P21 (Enterprise Resource Planning System)
  • Ability to use a forklift
  • Must fluently communicate and write in English; any additional languages are beneficial and would be considered an advantage
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and implementation skills
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge and/or experience within the global industrial and automotive parts marketplace would also be considered an advantage

The ability to obtain Mandatory Government Security Clearance is required for working at the airport, as well as pre-employment background screening and drug testing for illegal substances.
