About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead the Greater White Bear Lake Community Foundation in achieving its mission of engaging people, connecting resources, and building community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long-term goals and short-term strategies to increase the Foundation's overall impact within the community, in conjunction with the GWBLCF Board of Directors and staff.
  • Grantmaking and Community Impact: Oversee the Foundation's grantmaking and community programs initiatives, including special projects and collaborative efforts with other foundations and corporations.
  • Asset Growth and Fund Development: Develop and implement strategies and tactics to meet development goals, with a focus on methods to increase unrestricted funds and major and planned gift acquisition.
  • Board and Community Relations: Keep the GWBLCF Board of Directors and primary organizational partners informed of all matters affecting the performance of the GWBLCF and respective associate foundations.
  • Financial Management and Budgeting: Prepare, implement, and oversee an annual GWBLCF budget, working with the finance team.
  • Personnel Management: Hire, review, and provide direction to the GWBLCF staff, with the goal of maintaining a cooperative and professional working environment.
  • Marketing and Community Outreach: Develop and implement a marketing plan for the GWBLCF, including timely and compelling communication with donors, prospective donors, and professional advisors.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5 years of nonprofit management experience, with a focus on fundraising, public relations, and community outreach.
  • Skills: Excellent facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to lead and manage volunteers and staff.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a focus on nonprofit management, fundraising, or a related field.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Salary: $75,000 - $95,000 per year.
  • Benefits: Dental insurance, health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and a retirement plan.
