ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for coordinating a comprehensive range of outreach services aimed at professionals and the community. You will facilitate appropriate referrals to enhance patient census, increase length of stay, and improve care quality through effective communication with referrers. You will also ensure that marketing initiatives align with the strategic marketing framework.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

  • Collaborate with the Vice-President of Marketing and Provider Relations to develop and execute the strategic marketing plan, establishing measurable objectives that directly influence patient census and outreach to underserved populations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with various professional referral sources and community organizations, including healthcare providers, discharge planners, and social services, to promote understanding and utilization of our services.
  • Monitor and analyze referral data, admissions, and average length of stay to ensure accurate documentation of marketing activities and assess the effectiveness of outreach efforts.
  • Represent the organization at community and professional events, serving as a liaison through networking, speaking engagements, and committee participation.
  • Engage in ongoing quality assurance processes, providing feedback to referral sources regarding quality concerns and service needs.
  • Assist in planning and delivering educational programs for healthcare professionals, focusing on effective communication and enhancing knowledge of end-of-life care topics.
  • Participate in agency committees and perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in business or public administration is preferred, along with substantial experience in marketing and sales management, particularly within the healthcare sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in marketing and community relations.
  • Proficient in designing and implementing marketing and outreach programs.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills to direct various marketing initiatives.
  • Ability to effectively represent the organization at community and professional levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capacity to build effective working relationships and collaborate within a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record are required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management software.
