Position Summary

As a Field Engineer at Geek+, you will serve as the primary liaison with project managers, supply chain experts, service program managers, suppliers, and clients. Your role will involve collaborating with internal teams to grasp the intricacies of system configurations and site dynamics. You will coordinate all facets of robotic systems deployment and maintenance at client locations. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of hardware components, systems, and troubleshooting methodologies pertinent to autonomous mobile robots. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the effective deployment, upkeep, and enhancement of our AMR fleet across various operational settings.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of contractors, providing clear guidance and support to ensure timely and quality task completion. Monitor contractor performance and address any arising issues.
  • Oversee onsite implementation project planning, including scope of work, budget, schedule, and subcontracting services, integrating these with the master project plan.
  • Manage the implementation plan through effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, particularly focusing on supply chain delivery timelines.
  • Conduct comprehensive hardware inspections, quality control assessments, and pre-deployment testing to identify and rectify potential issues.
  • Prepare the hardware environment for System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Performance Testing, and actively participate in these testing phases.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware-related challenges, both remotely and on-site, to minimize downtime and ensure optimal robot functionality.
  • Document all hardware-related issues, solutions, and best practices in a systematic and organized manner.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in autonomous robotics hardware and contribute insights to enhance the company's competitive advantage. Quickly adapt to new products.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions for team members and service partners.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to manage site implementation and hardware services across teams, including client operations and IT departments, as well as various site contractors.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in online collaboration tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new complex issues and technologies.
  • Positive attitude with enthusiasm for learning and problem-solving.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time, primarily to client sites during weekdays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in warehouse operations, logistics functions, or the 3PL industry, with hands-on onsite leadership experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
