JOB SUMMARY


We are on the lookout for a meticulous and resourceful Field Equipment Specialist to become a vital member of our Equipment Readiness Team.

In this capacity, you will oversee the maintenance and operational readiness of our field equipment.

This role will report to the Field Technician Supervisor for specific task assignments and will work under the guidance of the Site Supervisor for particular field operations.

Your responsibilities will include setting up equipment for field applications, as well as repairing and calibrating welding systems on-site.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot equipment issues to the component level, including shipping, receiving, and preparing equipment for field applications.
• Diagnose and repair issues with automated and manual welding equipment, along with associated components.

• Maintain accurate and comprehensive maintenance logs.

• Collaborate with in-house maintenance teams, engineering staff, field project managers, and site personnel to meet job requirements.

• Ensure tools are organized and maintain a clean workspace.

• Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations to promote a safe working environment.

• Stay informed about departmental Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.

Education:
• An Associate's degree in Electronics Technology, specialized military training in an electro/mechanical field, or equivalent industry experience.

• Prior OSHA safety training in the power generation, petroleum, and chemical sectors.

• Capability to operate forklift equipment.

• Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Excel.

• Familiarity with both automated and manual TIG and MIG welding processes.

COMPETENCY SUMMARY


• Ability to diagnose errors or technical issues with automated machinery and tools; must be skilled in performing necessary repairs, including wiring, circuit board, and mechanical repairs.
• Proficient in reading schematics and following signal paths.

• Capable of working with CNC, PLC, and Relay Logic systems.

*Travel: This position requires extensive travel. Candidates must possess an active U.S. Passport or be eligible to obtain one.
