Job Summary

Spectrum Healthcare Partners is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider III to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a key member of our orthopaedic department, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our surgeons in the operating room.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment
    • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including interviews and physical examinations, to determine the best course of treatment.
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account patient needs and medical history.
  • Surgical Support
    • Assist surgeons during operations, providing first-hand support and expertise.
    • Participate in pre- and post-operative care, ensuring seamless transitions for patients.
  • Continuity of Care
    • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of patient care, from initial consultation to follow-up appointments.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Administrative Duties
    • Manage patient records, charts, and other relevant documentation.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of best practices and policies.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure
    • Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
    • Current licensure in the State of Maine or eligibility for licensure.
  • Experience and Skills
    • Previous experience in orthopaedic care, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
    • Strong clinical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Certifications and Training
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
    • DEA registration and other relevant certifications, as required.
