We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer III to join our team at HNTB. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality geotechnical designs and solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and modify design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications for assigned projects.
- Work closely with project managers to perform research, development, calculations, design, and delivery.
- Apply engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria for projects ranging in size and complexity.
- Leverage technical knowledge, experience, and client relationships to assist in the execution and evaluation of project designs.
- Develop conceptual and detailed designs and calculations to support project execution using current drawing and technical tools, programs, and software.
- Mentor, train, and review work of junior engineer staff and provide constructive feedback.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in Engineering and 3 years of relevant experience, or PhD in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of geotechnical engineering principles, geometric, and algebraic principles.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation, and/or AutoCad.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Master's degree in Engineering.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification (depending on discipline).
