Position Overview

Aeon is currently in search of a Bilingual Leasing Agent (Spanish-English) to deliver exceptional sales, marketing, and customer service support across a portfolio of 220 apartment homes in Minneapolis. This role is highly sales-driven, and the ideal candidate will possess a strong goal-oriented mindset. The Bilingual Leasing Agent will report directly to the Senior Site Manager.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay informed about apartment availability, pricing, and features.
  • Welcome prospective residents and discuss their housing preferences and requirements.
  • Present information regarding community offerings, including reviewing the information packet, floor plans, and deposits.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures for the qualification, screening, and acceptance of residency applicants, in compliance with Fair Housing and Covid safety protocols.
  • Conduct property and apartment tours, showcasing amenities, models, and available units.
  • Utilize RentCafe to maintain accurate prospect and leasing information.
  • Follow up with prospective residents within 48 hours of a showing if a lease has not been signed, and send a thank-you card.
  • Implement the community lease renewal program to maximize resident renewals.
  • Prepare lease-related documentation accurately and promptly, explaining all lease documents to new and existing residents, ensuring completeness prior to move-in.
  • Compile property information packets and move-in packets.
  • Assist in managing daily operations of the community.
  • Collaborate closely with the management office to ensure apartments are ready for occupancy and maintained to a high standard.
  • Complete required staff training.
  • Safeguard confidential information.
  • Remain adaptable and open to change.
  • Understand and apply basic principles of effective housekeeping and safety.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, with cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Preferred: At least one year of leasing experience or closely related face-to-face sales experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to attract and engage clients/customers, with a proven track record of closing sales.
  • Ability to engage in culturally responsive interpersonal interactions, considering diverse needs and expectations.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting practices.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Commitment to learning and participating in Aeon's diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Resourceful, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to building relationships.
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle, and vehicle insurance required.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
    • Ability to reach above and below shoulder level.
    • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
    • Ability to conduct daily tours between properties, including inspecting grounds, hallways, stairwells, and apartment homes.
    • Ability to file, open and close file drawers, and enter data into a computer for extended periods.
    • Ability to endure external weather conditions.

Compensation and Benefits:

This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $18-$20, plus commissions. Aeon provides an attractive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, retirement plans, paid time off, and an employee assistance program. The standard work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, with potential variations based on property needs. This is an in-person role, primarily based out of a scattered site property, necessitating regular travel between buildings.
