Position Overview

Aeon is currently in search of a Bilingual Leasing Agent (Spanish-English) to deliver exceptional sales, marketing, and customer service support across a portfolio of 220 apartment homes in Minneapolis. This role is heavily focused on sales, and the ideal candidate will possess a strong goal-oriented mindset. The Bilingual Leasing Agent will report directly to the Senior Site Manager.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay informed about apartment availability, pricing, and features.
  • Welcome prospective residents and engage in discussions about their housing preferences.
  • Present information packets, floor plans, and community offerings effectively.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures for applicant qualification, screening, and acceptance, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing and safety guidelines.
  • Conduct property tours, showcasing amenities, model units, and available apartments.
  • Utilize RentCafe to maintain accurate prospect and leasing information.
  • Follow up with prospective residents within 48 hours of property showings if a lease has not been signed, and send appropriate thank-you notes.
  • Implement the community lease renewal program to maximize resident retention.
  • Prepare lease-related documentation accurately and promptly, explaining all lease terms to new and existing residents.
  • Compile property information packets and move-in materials.
  • Assist in managing the daily operations of the community.
  • Collaborate closely with the management office to ensure apartments are ready for occupancy and well-maintained.
  • Complete required staff training sessions.
  • Safeguard confidential information diligently.
  • Remain adaptable and open to change.
  • Apply basic principles of good housekeeping and safety.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, with a strong sense of cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • A minimum of one year of leasing experience or relevant face-to-face sales experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to attract and engage clients/customers, with a proven track record of closing sales.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that are culturally responsive, considering diverse needs and expectations.
  • Basic understanding of accounting practices.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

  • Valid driver's license, vehicle, and insurance are required.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
    • Capability to reach above and below shoulder height.
    • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
    • Capacity to conduct daily tours across properties, including inspecting grounds and apartments.
    • Ability to file, open and close file drawers, and enter data into a computer for prolonged periods.
    • Ability to endure varying weather conditions.

Compensation, Hours & Location:

This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $18-$20, plus commissions. Aeon provides an attractive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, retirement plans, paid time off, and an employee assistance program. Regular work hours are Tuesday through Saturday, from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, with potential variations based on property needs. This is an in-person role, primarily based out of a scattered site property, requiring regular travel between buildings. Occasional work at other locations may be necessary.
