Position Details:
Salary: $11.00 per hour
Hours: Weekdays: 3:00-5:00 PM (Part-Time)
Key Responsibilities:
- Bring a positive and energetic attitude to each session, inspiring children to engage actively.
- Assist in delivering dynamic, enjoyable, safe, and educational activities that align with the YMCA's mission and objectives.
- Ensure that programs cater to the diverse needs of children across various ages and skill levels.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate all participants effectively.
- Travel to different locations as needed and assist in the transportation of materials and equipment.
- Prepare for each session by planning engaging activities and modifying them to suit all participants.
- Maintain awareness of emergency protocols and safety procedures; provide care during emergencies, document incidents, and report to supervisors.
- Participate in training sessions, organizational meetings, and staff gatherings as required.
- Adhere to YMCA Human Resources and Risk Management policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for working with children.
- Preferred 1-2 years of experience in a related field.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
