Position Details:

Salary: $11.00 per hour

Hours: Weekdays: 3:00-5:00 PM (Part-Time)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bring enthusiasm and energy to each session, inspiring children to engage actively.
  • Assist in leading dynamic, enjoyable, and safe classes that align with the YMCA's mission.
  • Ensure that classes cater to the diverse needs of children across various ages and abilities.
  • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate all participants effectively.
  • Travel to different locations as needed and assist in transporting necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Prepare thoroughly for each class, including planning activities tailored to the participants.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of emergency protocols and safety procedures; provide care during emergencies and document incidents appropriately.
  • Participate in training sessions and staff meetings as required.
  • Adhere to YMCA Human Resources and Risk Management policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in working with children.
  • Preferred experience of 1-2 years in a related field.
  • Must be at least 16 years old.
