Position Details:

Salary: $11.00 per hour

Hours: Weekdays: 3:00-5:00 PM (Part-Time)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bring enthusiasm and energy to each session, inspiring children to engage actively.
  • Assist in leading dynamic, enjoyable, and educational classes that align with the YMCA's mission and objectives.
  • Ensure that classes cater to the diverse needs of children across various ages and skill levels.
  • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate all participants effectively.
  • Travel to different locations as needed and assist in transporting supplies and equipment.
  • Prepare for each class by planning activities and adjusting them to suit the group.
  • Maintain awareness of emergency and safety protocols; provide care during emergencies, document incidents, and report to supervisors.
  • Participate in training sessions, organizational meetings, and staff gatherings as requested.
  • Adhere to YMCA Human Resources and Risk Management policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in working with children.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Must be at least 16 years old.
