Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider I- Inpatient/Outpatient Diabetes

Parkland Health and Hospital System (PHHS) is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team in the Inpatient/Outpatient Diabetes department. As an APP, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, education, and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including history taking, physical exams, assessments, and treatment planning.
  • Record accurate and concise health history, findings, treatment, and recommendations.
  • Consult with supervising physicians and refer patients as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Include patients and/or families in determining the plan of care, when appropriate.
  • Support interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure continuous quality care and promote positive health outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments, advancements, and trends in the practice field.
  • Participate in PHHS education activities and maintain current professional certifications and licensure.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in nursing or physician assistant program from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Texas.
  • Active certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a relevant specialty.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
