Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider I

Job Summary:

Parkland Health is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider I to join our team. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, education, and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform clinical practitioner duties in designated specialty areas, including obtaining histories, performing physical exams, making assessments, and ordering tests to determine diagnoses and plan of care.
  • Record health history, findings, treatment, and recommendations accurately, clearly, and concisely, and manage time effectively to ensure optimal use of patient and provider resources.
  • Include patients and/or families in determining the plan of care, when appropriate, and educate patients and families to ensure self-management, follow-up, and compliance with established treatment.
  • Support interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure continuous quality care and promote positive health outcomes with a focus on good customer service and patient satisfaction.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments, advancements, and trends in the practice field by attending seminars/workshops, reading professional journals, and actively participating in professional organizations.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with authorization to practice as a Family, Adult, Gerontology, Adult-Gerontology, Adult-Gerontology Acute Care, Acute Care, Pediatric, Pediatric Acute Care, Neonatal, Psychiatric Mental Health or Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.
  • Active certification as a Nurse Practitioner by one of the following: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program (AANPCP).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, and effective leadership skills, including motivation, recruitment, retention, and change management.
