About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Specialist Support Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our Engineering Lab Operations and Management team, you will be responsible for managing and implementing engineering lab strategic projects and day-to-day administrative functions within multiple engineering labs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and implement engineering lab strategic projects and day-to-day administrative functions within multiple engineering labs.
  • Provide direction for lab users on established policies and procedures.
  • Manage, coordinate, and implement Environment Health Safety and Sustainment, Property & Metrology Management, and Supply Chain Management.
  • Perform cost analysis and ensure task completion within approved budgets.
  • Provide process support to Supply Chain Management and oversee audit/assessment preparation.
  • Oversee Engineering Lab Objective Evaluation and Voluntary Protection Program, develop corrective action plans, and assist in the development of long-range objectives.
  • Safeguard classified/proprietary material, hardware, and documentation, utilizing defense material/property under Export Administration Regulations.
  • Develop and implement communication plans, providing consulting support to functional and engineering customer management.
  • Work to influence stakeholders within and outside responsible area at an operational level regarding policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Work autonomously with limited oversight, providing professional input, guidance, and problem-solving.
Requirements
  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Experience in an engineering lab environment area such as safety, security, compliance, and/or property management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical/electronic skills.
  • Experience with OSHA/NFPA industrial policies and regulations.
  • Experience with working directly with engineers, technicians, and leadership in an engineering lab environment in the areas of safety, security, compliance, and property management.
  • Experience with EHS, NISPOM, JAFAN, and Foreign Object Elimination.
  • Ability to build positive, lasting relationships with customers.
